At least 14 children have died from violence in St. Louis since April, and authorities in the city said they need help from the community to catch the people responsible.
The youngest victim was 2-years-old, according to several news outlets covering the killing spree.
“What we need would be for people to tell police what happened, so we can hold some people accountable,” police Chief John Hayden told KMOV.
Antonio Cox, who lost his twin brother to gun violence, could hardly speak when asked to talk about his brother.
“I don’t know how I feel,” Antonio told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “He was everything I had. I tried, but I didn’t try harder. I wish I could. I wish I was with him, but I’m not.”
Sentonio, 15, was killed early Aug. 18 in the 7300 block of Vermont Avenue, the newspaper reported.
He was not the only child who died that weekend.
